As a direct result of Dorothy Caldwell 's visit to Mittagong I made a Book of Marks called "Moses Sister-Simply Being." I followed the inspiration of Indian women who use the Kantha style of sewing to tell their stories visually. My theme was following the Indian tradition of throwing girl children into the river because they are deemed worthless and expensive. My character however took to flying instead of drowning. It was on exhibit at the Fairfield Gallery in Sydney and evoked such a response! I was delighted to receive the emails.

Moses' Sister wins first prize in section at Melville Art Exhibition.

Kansas

My extensive wanders this year included the SDA Exhibition in Kansas.

Highlights were the trip to see Ancient Peruvian Textiles and seeing the Members’ Exhibition.

My “Illumination” piece-digitised ext and transfer images on to bubble wrap plastic and chiffon have lead to some exciting developments. More later.
